- Family: married to Pastor Faith Oyedepo Bishop David Oyedepo is the general overseer of Living Faith Church (aka Winners Chapel) which has branches in over 50 countries all over the world and 400 local branches in Nigeria alone. The ministry headquarters are located in Canaan Land, Ota, Ogun State Nigeria. Faith Tabernacle also known as Canaan Land is possibly the largest church and seats up to 50,000 members. The BBC stated that it was ‘one of the fastest growing religious movements in the world’. In 1981 Bishop David Oyedepo was called into ministry with a mandate from God “The hour had come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith, and I am sending you to undertake this task.” With this word he started a weekly teaching program that quickly became popular and became known as the Faith Liberation Hour. Alongside his wife Pastor Faith Oyedepo they both watched as God enlarged their territory. It resulted in a 530 acre land known as Canaanland, the world’s largest church, Covenant University, World Mission Agency, a publishing company and church branches around the world.
